Impacts of Pinglu Canal Construction and Its Ecological Route Selection on Landscape Pattern and Suggestions on Environmental Protection

The Pinglu Canal is the first artificial canal since founding of People’s Republic China following Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It a major pioneer project for many national strategies, and bears great construction significance. Attractive natural landscape ecological environment, abundant tourism cultural resources along have raised higher environmental requirement its construction. In this study, impact planning route on overall pattern analyzed from several aspects such as number patches, mean patch area, largest index fractal dimension. Besides, multiple routes some sections compared appropriate selection. suggestions protection strategies are proposed perspectives restoration ecosystem, well integration culture. results will provide references analysis countermeasures constructions other canals.
